Will there be DLC for Cyberpunk 2077?

On September 6, 2022, Game Director, Gabriel Amatangelo, announced the expansion DLC during its Night City Wire Livestream. He points out all the different updates that they have made to better enhance the game as to where it is as of today and featured the new Patch 1.6 called the Edgerunners Update, a brand new Mobile Game that is free to play called Roach's Race, the Edgerunners Anime that is available on Netflix, and showcased a teaser for the Phantom Liberty DLC.

Release Date

CD ProjektRED have stated that the constant delays Cyberpunk 2077 suffered during its development has affected the roadmap and initial announcement plans for the DLC content. As such, there is no clear release date. The company has stated that for now the focus is the main game.

The Edgerunners Update or Patch 1.6 for Cyberpunk 2077 was launched on September 6, 2022 for all platforms alongside its animated series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners on Netflix where the show focuses on following the adventure and telling the story of David Martinez, an 18-year-old aspiring Edgerunner who drastically experiences a change in his life after stumbling upon a powerful cyberwar - the anime show will release on September 13, 2022 and it will be available to stream on Netflix.

The Edgerunners Update or Patch 1.6 is marked as the final update for last-gen consoles specifically for the Xbox One and PlayStation®4. Although it is the final update, the Edgerunners Update (Patch 1.6) has been also released across the rest of the platforms such as Google Stadia, PC (Steam, EpicGames), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation®5.

The Edgerunners Update adds some exciting changes to the game including features such as players can now use mirrors to change their appearance, additional Gigs, new Weapons, secrets that correlate with the anime series, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a transmog feature, and more for V to use at his/her disposal.
