As a corporate netrunner, Alt wasn’t exactly Johnny’s type. Her long blond hair, elegant dresses, simple jewelry, and minimalist cyberware made her stand out like a beacon in the mosh pits of hairspray and chrome at his gigs. That’s probably why he fell so hard for her. One fateful night, thugs hired by Arasaka gutted Johnny and kidnapped Alt. Forced to turn her Soulkiller program into a corporate tool, she ended up stripped of her body and trapped in the Net—the first known case of a person ‘surviving’ as pure digits. When Johnny wakes up in V’s head in 2077, finding Alt becomes their only hope of sorting out their shared mess.
