Breaking News is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077. Breaking News can be acquired from Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes. Completing Gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 earns you experience points and may reward you with some items.
You ever watch the news? Personally, I think it's all propaganda. But that's just me. Still, people watch, and some people make the news. My client's Ted Fox, an N54 reporter. He's doing a story on the link between gangs and corps. On paper, they're enemies, but in reality, seems like the corporats and gangoons are scratching each other's backs. Key word - seems. Ted needs hard evidence.
That's where you come in to save the day. Ted'll tell you exactly what you have to do, but be ready to get onto Kendachi factory grounds, poke around. All clear? Head on over to Ted. As they say in the media biz - it's showtime!
Breaking News Objectives Gig Cyberpunk 2077
All you have to do is break into a corpo zone and plant a bug.
- Meet with Ted Fox.
- Enter Ted Fox's car.
- Talk to Ted Fox.
- Take the tracker.
- Get to the parking lot.
- Remain undetected. [Optional]
- Install the tracker.
- Leave the parking lot.
- Collect your reward.
Breaking News Walkthrough Gig Cyberpunk 2077
This gig is unlocked and given to you by Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes when you reach Street Cred Level 20, in order to trigger the gig, you must be driving or roaming around the Rancho Coronado area in Santo Domingo. Upon approaching the compound, do not immediately go inside. Meet up first with Ted Fox, who is parked in a hidden space just across the street from the compound that you're about to infiltrate. Hop in his car and he will explain the gig details to you.
Once done, this is when you can start infiltrating the compound to install the tracker. There will be an optional objective to remain undetected for the whole duration of the gig. This is an advantage because it's easier to do this gig using stealth rather than shooting your way in. The fastest way to get into the compound is to go left where you'll see a billboard. Climb up the boxes underneath and make your way up to the security building rooftop. From the rooftop, jump into the compound and just follow the fence line to the corner where it meets the building.
After reaching the end of the building, open the window above to get inside. Once inside, the room will have two enemies that you need to take out. The first enemy is by a shelf in front, and the second enemy is right next to the vehicle where you need to place the tracker. After taking out the enemies, place the tracker on the vehicle and make your way outside the compound. Upon leaving the area, you will receive a call from El Capitan, telling you to collect your reward from a drop point. This will mark the end of the gig given to you.
