The Badlands are peppered with disarmed minefields from 2071. Though, after several folk were "dislegged" by these "disarmed" mines, most decided to steer clear of these areas. That is, except the smuggling types. A number of their routes run through those fields. Risky, yes, but brilliant all the same. Why would anyone guard the border when the[sic] practically do your job for you? But listen up: a smuggler and his rig got stranded out in the middle of one of those minefields. Maybe his tank went dry, maybe he had a heart attack, or maybe he set out on some vision quest - who knows, doesn't matter. What's important is I don't know the routes these fellas run and now they're getting dropped in my lap. Get me this stranded vehicle. I know some nomads who'd pay handsomely for that GPS data.

Dancing On A Minefield Walkthrough Gig Cyberpunk 2077
This gig is unlocked and given to you by Dakota Smith when you reach Street Cred Level 1, in order to trigger the gig, you must be driving or roaming around the Nearest road off Interstate 9 in the Badlands. Head over to the quest marker until you reach a field that's filled with drones and mines on the ground. Your main objective here is to retrieve a vehicle, so the best way to do so is to take out the flying drones, and shoot enough mines to clear a path out of the mine field.
Once you reach the vehicle, you'll have the optional objective to scan a body next to it and have a short discussion with johnny regarding it. Once done, drive the vehicle towards the marked location which is a garage and exit the vehicle. This will mark the end of the gig given to you by Dakota.

AnonymousI counted 178 mines in this mission. It's an approximate count, though. I shot every single mine I could find with a revolver once, then counted the maximum number of pistol ammo (500) subtracted by the number of bullets I had left in the end (322). This doesn't take into account a few missed shots, and remote detonations of mines that were beyond the map's boundary where it teleports you back, which saved me some bullets.
Also, I looted the bodies in the area before counting. I did not care to check if any of them had pistol ammo, which would have altered the count.
This gig has the high potential of bugging your cellphone (no more calls), bricking the entire game. Has happened on all my playthroughs (PS4, PS5 and PC). No known fix yet, which is insane since this bug has been there since release. The bug occurs after bringing the car to the garage. Dakota should but doesn't call you to finish the gig.
Make a manual save before starting this gig, safe yourself the pain of ruining your entire playthrough.
The only known work-around, should you be so unfortunate, is to go to Jig-Jig Street and pay a Joytoy. Then HOPE all npc's start calling again.
