Goodbye, Night City is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077. Goodbye, Night City can be acquired from Dakota Smith. Completing Gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 earns you experience points and may reward you with some items.

Sometimes you need a friend to lean on. Sometimes you need a friend to break you out of an immigrant detention center at the Night City-SoCal border. Smuggler Bruce Welby required the latter.

Bruce tried to cross the state line with hot cargo in tow, but it didn't work out as planned and now he's been chained up by Militech border security already several days. His buddy (and Militech employee), Archibald Crane, found out about the situation through the grapevine. I'll be damned if that cuckoo corpo actually decided to help his friend instead of towing the corpo line. He contacted me to get Bruce out of his cage.

You're the missing element in this friendship triangle. Find to Bruce, break him out, and escort him to his chombatta, Archie. And let's make sure Militech doesn't notice a thing, OK? Get to it.

Goodbye, Night City Walkthrough Gig Cyberpunk 2077

This gig is unlocked and given to you by Dakota Smith when you reach Street Cred Level 11, in order to trigger the gig, you must be driving or roaming around the Coachwhip Ln. area in the Badlands. Head over to the marked location until you see a heavily guarded compound by Militech. Do take note that the walls of the compound are also heavily guarded by drones, mines, snipers, and auto turrets. There are three ways to enter, first one is the front gate, which you can force open with 3 Body Ability. The second is further to the right of the main entrance which is a broken section of the fence that you can pull out of the way with 5 Technical ability.

Lastly, if you have insufficient ability points, you can go to the right side of the compound that's also infested with mines and find an open section of the fence where you can enter. You'll have an optional objective to not kill any militech enemies, so we would advise you to use the Pax mod on your guns and equip blunt weapons for nonlethal purposes. Once you enter, you'll need to find Bruce in a detention area inside the compound. There are two ways to do this, first is to force open the door of the detention area with 6 Body ability, and second is to search the nearby desk for a Personal Access Token which will automatically open the door for you.

Once inside, the detention area, watch out for an autoturret to your left and disable it immediately. A little further to the middle of the room, and you'll find Bruce sitting on the ground next to a tent. After talking with bruce, just sneak your way out of the compound through the way you entered, or you can go through the door next to the autoturret and you'll find an empty Militech SUV that you can use to ram your way out of the Militech base. Once done, talk to bruce while driving him to the extraction point.

Once you reach the extraction point, a guy named Archie will show up to pick up Bruce and they will start to drive off together. This will mark the end of the gig given to you by Dakota.

Not sure about anybody else, but in 1.12 even using non lethal takedowns and storing enemies in containers fails the optional objective for me. Also disabling/destroying the two drones fails the pacifist objective...really annoying.
