A clandestine meeting of reptilians at midnight? V, we're not missing this. If you want answers to questions plaguing humankind for eons, this might be your only shot. Is there life in the cosmos? Is there anyone pulling the strings? If so, why? And why the **** do they let all this evil **** happen? And to think the Universe's greatest secrets could be found in some old factory in our humble little Night City...

  • Listen to all five theories.
  • Defend Garry from the Nomads.
  • Go to the old factory.
  • Talk to Johnny Silverhand.
  • Find somewhere to hide.
  • Keep a lookout.
  • Seize the conspirator's chip.

The Prophet's Song Walkthrough Side Job Cyberpunk 2077

  • To start off, Garry can be found outside Misty's Esoterica. You need to visit him, listen to five of his conspiracy theories, and respond to them. Every time you encounter him he will talk about a different theory. So you basically need to visit him on multiple occasions. Take note that you can partake in this side job at any given time. Also, if you unlock certain conditions, you can also obtain extra dialogue lines. The following are as follows:

Theory: Cyberspace

Theory: Reptilians

  • Related Topic: President Mayers

Theory: Vampires

Theory: Vampires

  • Related Topic: Kiroshi Optics

Theory: Nomads

  • Related Topic: V's encounter with the Nomads.

Walkthrough Continuation in Cyberpunk 2077

  • Once you've discussed a topic with Garry, it won't be brought up again, so make sure you take note or remember the theories you discussed. The conspiracy about vampires only becomes available after completing Playing for Time, so complete that job to progress to the next objective.
  • If you want to trigger two conspiracy theories in succession, you need to walk far enough from Garry in between each one. A side job marker will then appear on the mini-map or map which indicates you can speak to him again for the next objective.
  • By default, you only have a choice between two dialogue lines. However, if you meet certain conditions as mentioned above, you have an added dialogue option that you can use to answer or ask about. This is only optional and up to the player's preference.
  • When Garry talks about the fifth conspiracy relating to the Nomads, he will be attacked by the gang. In order to obtain the last phase, you need to protect him from the attackers. You can either neutralize them, confronting them and answering the group with Nomad life path specified dialogue lines or by calling out regarding your association with the Nomads ONLY IF YOU HAVE COMPLETED Queen of the Highway.

The Old Factory

  • After you defend him from the Nomads, speak to him and he'll tell you about going to an old factory. When you arrive at the site, speak to Johnny outside the old factory, and look for a place to hide - all you have to do now is wait.
  • While you wait and watch, you will notice the boys of Maelstrom handing over a mysterious chip to the corpos. Your objective to complete this job is to acquire the chip. Now, there are a few ways on how to approach this event.
  • You can attack the Maelstrom before the exchange, kill everyone during the exchange or follow the corpos and mug them after the exchange was made. Again, your objective is to collect the chip, so if you wait too long and allow the corpos to leave, then the mission will just end.
  • Tip, toss a grenade at both groups while the exchange is made. This way, you can easily take them all out.
  • Once you've acquired the mysterious chip, open your inventory and crack it to reveal a cryptic message. You can sell this if you want, but keeping it with you will allow you to question Garry's disciple when you return to his spot.
  • Just remember that you need to give a generous donation to Garry or the disciple for her to answer V. You'll formally complete this job if you successfully get answers regarding the mysterious chip and after talking to Johnny.
  • NOTE: If you don't give the €$ 600 donation or just a small amount, you won't get any intel regarding the chip and you won't be able to complete this side job.

Every time you encounter him, he will talk about one of five subjects, you need to listen to all five conspiracy theories and then defend him from the Nomads to formally unlock this job.

The Prophet's Song Side Job Notes & Tips Cyberpunk 2077

  • This is a minor side job.
  • There is a glitch where the other parties car can get stuck and break the quest if this happens just reload.
  • Save before going to the factory or just outside. This game has a few breaking glitches that will require you to reload for the quest to work.  Pathing and vehicles get stuck, it won't break your game but breaks the quest
  • By reading out only the first letter of each word in the encrypted message a hidden message is revealed which reads "Project Oracle Command Execute Plans".
  • Johnny will ask who V expects at the meeting sight. If V choses the Spanish Inquisition, Johnny will admit he wasn't expecting that response. This is a reference to the Spanish Inquisition Sketch from Monty Python's Flying Circus.

      The message deciphered:

Phosphor radiates, occluding jaded eyes. Come, titan.
Outward ring avian choruses, looping eternity.
Cages of men melt as night descends.
Emerge Xelhua. Erect Cholula under these expanses.
      Puppets lie awake. Never sleeping.

It's almost poetic. Also the first letter of every word, lined up read: "Project Oracle commands Execute plans." That leaves the question: What is project Oracle and was this really the simplest method to signal their field assets what basically boils down to "Go!"

I think this quest was the most disappointing thing in the entire game thus far. So much wasted potential. :/

I donated $600 to Gary for the info, got the chip, came back and found that he was abducted, showed the chip to his Disciple after hacking it, and the spoke to Johnny to complete the quest. You don't need to donate the second time (to build a monument in Gary's honor) to finish it.

          • None of the "Condition: Complete the X" works at all: you do not need to finish any single thing to start and to finish his quest but listen around.

The quest as of patch 1.06 could be bugged. My main jobs were Down on The Street, Automatic Love and Ghost Town, but I was lvl 34, did a few jobs for Dakota and visited Aldecaldos mobile camp. Harry was asleep most of the time and only told me first Vampire theory, Cyberspace (iirc, after I visited Pacifica and finished Delamain job) and Reptilians. After that I checked on him, saw Nomads and the quest went on. So either I have a huge bug, or quest progression may be tied to your level/visited areas.

The nomad encounter triggered for me while I was talking to Misty inside the shop, so quest failed without me knowing I was supposed to do anything...

I got the chip, decoded it and returned to Garry. He wanted a donation, so I gave him the max possible. The mission objective is Show the mystery chip to the prophet. I cant find the chip in my inventory and there is no dialog that allows me to give garry the chip. Im not sure what to do. Is the chip a shard or a junk item? If junk, I may have sold it or broke it down.

I have a glitch where Garry is dead. I can't find a save where he isn't dead. As soon as I enter his visual range, he's lying on the ground and blood starts to pool. If I leave the area, his body is despawned. I just completed the Disasterpiece mission.

Did the quest to the point he's supposed to be kidnapped... But he's sleeping in hes mat like forever. Seems to me I lost my save right here. Anyone knows how to fix?

                      • Anonymous

Does anyone know what hacking the mysterious chip actually does? Has no change on the mission ending and doesn't unlock anything I can notice.

                        Any one got any ideas?

                        • So I was around level 14 (corpo background, netrunner/stealth build, most things upgraded in my inventory) when I triggered the 2 NPC enemies to appear in this quest, which has a a "moderate" difficulty rating.

In order to activate "The Prophet Song" you need to kill those enemies, which was borderline impossible for me since they killed me in 1-2 shots and they were absolute sponges, absorbing even an entire mag of AR headshots.

I literally had to cheese the fight, run and peek shoot around corners with a sniper, after like 10 reloads.

I dont know if this is intended to be the hardest fight ever (no hacking devices around, not even the enemies), or if it was balance issues in hard mode, a bug spawning really high level NPCs or a bug in the quest level label.

                          Did anyone experience the same?
