Serious Side Effects is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077. Serious Side Effects can be acquired from Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes. Completing Gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 earns you experience points and may reward you with some items.
This ain't too complicated, you know the drill. Something slipped through somebody's fingers and it's your job to get it back. Got this choom, Doug - Denver Doug - a ripper. Recently did this patch job on a 6th street ****hole and when he took off Denver noticed a gallon of beta acid gone missing. Dunno wtf he uses it for but that 6er knows all kinds of **** can get cooked from it on the street. 1+1 = a dealer klepped it.
So Denver hired a guy, Booker Updike, to find the missing acid, then POOF - he's a ghost. Last seen at the Dewdrop Inn in Arroyo. Head over there, get your hands on that beta, and if you got a minute, find out what happened to this Booker guy.
Serious Side Effects Objectives Gig Cyberpunk 2077

- Go to room 103 and find out what happened to Booker. [Optional]

- Find the beta acid container.
- Go to room 203.
- Look for the stolen beta acid in the lab.
- Retrieve the beta acid container.
- Get out of the motel.
- Deposit the beta acid in the Drop Point.
Serious Side Effects Walkthrough Gig Cyberpunk 2077
This gig is unlocked and given to you by Muamar "El Capitan" Reyes when you reach Street Cred Level 20, in order to trigger the gig, you must be driving or roaming around the Arroyo area in Santo Domingo. Head over to the marked location which is named Drewdrop Inn, a color green building with the word "Beep" as a sign board. The easiest way to get in the inn is by paying and renting a room inside the inn. Once you have rented a room, you'll have an optional objective to find Booker Updike. Head down the corridor and look for room 103. If you have 12 Technical ability, you can easily open the door to 103. If not, you can bribe the technician in the corridor to open the door for you, or threaten him that requires 9 body ability.
Once inside Room 103, you'll find Booker's dead body on the bed, Find out what happened by scanning the ventilation system on the ceiling. Afterward, scan his body to complete the optional objective. Now, proceed to your main objective by heading to the second floor of the apartments and entering room 203. The door will be locked, so enter room 200 and jump onto the balcony. From here, walk until the last balcony and which should be the balcony of room 203. In the room, there will be 3 enemies that can easily be beaten or taken down. Once the enemies are taken care of, go to the left side of the room and retrieve the Beta Acid Container from the orange container.
Afterward, leave the area and make your way to the nearest drop point. This will mark the end of the gig given to you by El Capitan.
