Life's Work is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077. Life's Work can be acquired from Sebastian "Padre" Ibarra. Completing Gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 earns you experience points and may reward you with some items.
Why is it some unwritten law of the world that every talented techie has shit-poor character? Only God knows. Jake Estevez is one such genius among techies and an asshole among shitheads. Fifteen minutes with the man and my barrel against his forehead, but good news is we found a way to get along.
Jake's been a grease monkey for 6th Street about TWO WEEKS now. (Of course, I'm not on good terms with 6SG, but I do grudgingly admire their patience. It is, after all, a virtue.) Over that time Jake's been doing a custom job on a car for them - his "life's work," he says. Designed the soft for it too. Remember I said he has shit-poor character? Yeah, well he pissed off the wrong pendejos[sic] in 6SG and had to delta and never look back.
Bottom line: Jake wants his precious car back. Go the 6SG autoshop, upload the virus I sent you and get it back for him - don't scratch the ride and you'll get extra. We'll both be flush after this.

- Deliver the vehicle to Jake Estevez.
- Exit the vehicle.
- Talk to Jake Estevez.
- Leave the garage.
Life's Work Walkthrough
While driving around Wellsprings in Heywood, Sebastian "Padre" Ibarra will give you a call regarding a search and recover mission. Head over to the quest marker and make your way inside the 6th street gang auto shop. The first floor is where the pickup truck that you need to get is located, but first, you'll need to make your way up to the 2nd floor to upload the virus to their network. To get up the stairs, take out the first few enemies on the ground floor then proceed to the stairs going up. There will be 2 more enemies up there, so take out the first one near the stairs and then the 2nd enemy inside the office where the computer is located. Once all enemies are dealt with, upload the virus on their computer and make your way back down to the car.
Now, drive the pickup truck to the garage of Jake without creating or bumping other cars on the way. Once you arrive, leave the vehicle and have a few words with Jake himself. Once done, Padre will give you a call and this will mark the end of the side quest given to you by Padre.
