Quickhacks in Cyberpunk 2077 are abilities that some characters can use to affect NPCS or surroundings. You need a Cyberdeck to allow you to use Quickhacks succesfully, when you scan Enemies or machines. You can do things such as deactivating or taking direct control.
Cyberdeck
Cyberdecks unlock Netrunner abilities that allow the user to quickhack people and devices as well as breach into networks.
Each cyberdeck comes with a base set of pre-installed quickhacks, a limited number of slots for equipped quickhacks and a certain amount of RAM which is required to execute them. Different cyberdeck models can vary in terms of their stats and power. Higher quality decks are able to perform more advanced quickhacks.
Cyberdeck RAM
RAM is a resource used when performing Quickhacks. When you upload a quickhack to an enemy or device, it uses up a certain amount of RAM units. A quickhack's RAM cost can be altered in different ways, such as certain cyberware abilities, Perks and differences in level.
Used RAM recovers outside of combat.
Your maximum RAM can be increased with a higher Intelligence attribute, certain cyberware abilities and Perks as well as by equipping a higher-quality cyberdeck.
Device Quickhacks
Every Cyberdeck comes with a pre-installed set of quickhacks. You can find specific details about them and about the cyberdeck in their descriptions.
To upload quickhacks, you must have enough RAM available on your cyberdeck.
Quickhacks Categories
Stealth Quickhacks: used in infiltration scenarios to elude or escape the attention of enemies.
Combat Quickhacks: the bread and butter of netrunners once enemies are aware of your presence. You can cast them to deal damage.
Control Quickhacks: used in combat situations, as they can greatly impede opponents. They can prove particularly decisive against bosses and mini-bosses when deployed to disable cyberware they rely on.
Ultimate Quickhacks: are the most powerful programs, but also the most costly in terms of RAM and upload time. Used correctly, they can potentially eliminate targets instantly.
Antipersonnel Quickhacks
Cyberdecks have special slots reserved for antipersonnel quickhacks to use against your Enemies, and can be customized to suit your playstyle.
To upload a quickhack into a target, you must have enough RAM available on your cyberdeck. RAM cost can be altered by different means, such as specific Perks and cyberware abilities.
New Quickhacks can be purchased from vendors, found throughout the world, earned as rewards for completing various activities, sometimes collected after uploading the Datamine daemon to network Access Points, and crafted if you have the necessary Crafting Spec. These quickhack Crafting Specs can also be purchased from vendors, found throughout the world, earned as rewards for completing various activities, and unlocked in the quickhacking Skill tree.
Breach Protocol
Every cyberdeck comes with Breach Protocol pre-installed, which gives it the ability to penetrate networks, and upload powerful programs called daemons that can infiltrate all connected Enemies and devices.
Every cyberdeck also comes pre-installed with the ICEpick daemon. Uploading it succesfully via Breach Protocol will decrease the RAM cost of all quickhacks used on Enemies and devices connected to the network.
New, powerful daemons can be unlocked in the Breach Protocol Skill tree.
Breach Protocol cannot be initiated without a cyberdeck equipped.
Access Points
Access Points are physical ports through which it is possible to access the local network. They can be found by exploring your surroundings or by performing the Ping quickhack on a device or person connected to the same network.
Succesfully uploading a Datamine daemon into an Access Point by using the Breach Protocol will grant you money, quickhack crafting components or sometimes even an entirely new quickhack.

Legendary Quick hacks are overrated. Epics do everything you really need them to do. Many Epics can be bought, and you can craft them with a perk picked up at 16 Int. Also 16 Int is all you need to melt everything with Quick hacks, 12 if you really know what you're doing but keep in mind the Epic Quick hack crafting perk is at 16. You have all of the necessary Int perks available by 16.
20 Int is nice like Legendaries are nice but with 16 and Epics you should already be winning easily. Legendary Ping and Legendary Short Circuit are excellent, but the effects on others Legendaries are often buggy or interfere with each other.

Crafting or buying these at any level is just a waste when you can get all of them for free by just Datamining vending machines and antennas. And none of those have any sort of intelligence requirements.
I have all the legendary ones and have only a 3 intelligence and can't craft them with this character.

Getting the perks that unlock specs are one time use blueprints, so when you craft them you can later reroll perks and avoid those perks. It also means you can't spam craft the items for money or exp. Also when you unlock higher level quick hacks, lower level ones will no longer appear in your inventory.

According to game descriptions, The exact name of category isn't Stealth Quickhack, but Covert Quickhack. Please edit it.
Arasaka MK4 cyberdeck decreases the RAM cost of covert quickhacks by 2.
'Request Backup' is also a covert quickhack. Arasaka MK4 CD decreases the RAM cost of Request Backup.

easiest way to get legendary quickhacks is to get them from data mining using the perk Datamine Virtuoso. Just go to the location of the Gig serial suicide and savescum on every data pad in that zone until you get the legendaries you want. only 12 intelligence required and a lot of hacking

Where does one get most of these legendaries? Are they crafted only?

You CAN get legendary quickhacks randomly from access points in high level areas. Datamine virtuoso perk might be helping. Save scumming helps get you which quick hack you want. Need 2nd and 3rd line during the minigame to get the a quick hack to spawn consistently. Whatever rarity it dropped the first time is what you'll be getting even after save scumming so much. For some reason, the legendary sonic shock quick hack does not have the passive in its description. I don't know if its functional or not.

Any high level peeps here can tell me if the epic quick hacks are being sold on shops? I am unable and don't want to craft it. Thanks.

where can i find whistle with epic rarity?, crafting whistle quickhack just allow me craft the rare version, which is the highest
Main difference between Epic and Legendary rarity quickhacks; legendary variants of the former now include passive effects for just equipping them.

So the explode granade quickhack we used in the tutorial is cut content eh?
the Suicide quickhack is Epic rarity. Requires the perk to craft.
Legendary sonic shock will prevent 'reveal position' passively
