Sonic Shock is one of the Quickhacks in Cyberpunk 2077. Sonic Shock is key to avoid detection by sound, giving you space to perform any necessary loud sound without revealing your position.. Quickhacks are abilities that netrunners can use to affect NPCs or the surroundings. Hacks can be queued on Enemies, many programs will add effects to hacks queued after them. You'll need a Cyberdeck in order to equip and use your Quickhacks. Mind that some Perks, Cyberware or Cyberdeck may alter the values displayed on your game screen.

Like others have said, being able to use the non silent hacks is nice, but you basically cant use breach protocol.

As of 1.52, stil many caveats to using it. The legendary passive still sends enemy into heightened caution state. When I've used Sonic Shock on an enemy, and then defeat them with a quickhack or take down, their allies are still able to notice their body. When I've activated the legendary passive on a squad, and opened fire on a unit no others can see, it still sends the whole squad into combat mode. If it worked as it seems is intended, it would be excellent. But in 1.52 it's not worth the slot imo.

When applying the Legendary with Ping after 1.2, enemies on the Sonic-Shocked network now all break what they're going, go into their heightened caution state and start scouting their surroundings.
