The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman Walkthrough
Head to the marker area and wait for the correct hour to meet Briana. Talk to her and follow her upstairs. She will tell you about Jason, the victim of Leon Rinder. Leon, a former member of Hansen's gang, is the man she wants you to kill. She gives you a shard belonging to Jason that contains some information.
If you explore the area, you can examine some combat boot footprints, bullet holes, a stash with ammo shell casings. This clues will help you determine what kind of foe is Leon Rinder
Head to the marked location. There is a lone guarded and a camera, you can sneak past him or take him down.
As you enter the motel, your objective will be to find Rinder. You can, once again, decide to sneak or enter guns blazing.
Continue moving through the building up to the second floor. Explore it and as you open a certain door, after Johnny states that he has a bad feeling, you will be surprised by Yasha Ivanov, a hulking enemy.
After the fight, head to the room in which you were surprised, to find a bedridden Leon Rinder. Deal with him, you can either let him live or kill him, either way you get his dog tag.
Exit the building and return to Briana to complete the Gig.

You can tell him to call regina, if you've done her cyberpsychosis missions. I don't believe he will give you his stash coordinates if you do so I don't know if there's any real benefit for doing it...
Depending on how you choose to navigate his dialogue options you can unlock the option to have him call Regina instead of killing him or taking the deal. Over the course of the conversation V will begin to suspect he is suffering from Cyberpsychosis if you select the right ones. The following options I selected were as follows. (I can not confirm if your progress with Regina determines if they populate or not.)
- You killed Jason and seven others.
- What about all those years you spent doing Hansen's dirty work?
- "Whatever I did"? Let me enlighten you.
- Sounds like you have Cyberpsychosis. (Should I call Regina will populate as well as an optional dialogue option with Johnny)
- Put the gun to Rinder's head: Choose your words carefully.
For those wondering, you will get the iconic shotgun if you go this route but you will just have to wait a few days for him to text you. He will thank you and give you the code to his garbage which will in turn grant you a new quest. Brianna will not be aware that is still alive until after you complete that quest. Rinder will text you again stating he wants to make things right and sends credits to the Stacks. Brianna will not be pleased and if you return to the Stacks she will call you over to let you know personally.
I personally enjoyed this quest quite a bit and went back and forth on what to do. There is an argument for which choice to make. Regardless of your choice I do not believe there are far reaching consequences. DO NOT go to his garage and loot the shotgun if you have looked up or planned to look up the code and take the shotgun if you intend to spare him. If you do so before being given the quest you will not be able to complete it as looting the shotgun is the trigger to complete it.
