I'll Fly Away is a Side Jobs in Cyberpunk 2077. I'll Fly Away can be acquired from Mitch. Completing Side Jobs (Side Quests) in Cyberpunk 2077, rewards you with experience points and may reward you with items. Side Jobs can also influence the main story outcome.
Something about corpses draws you to their unfinished biz, V. First, it was me... now Scorpion. Mitch wants you to fulfill his final request. Gotta admit it's got my curiosity piqued, but hey, as a dead guy, I'm biased.

- Take the gas canister.
- Put the gas canister in the passenger seat of Scorpion's car.
- Talk to Mitch.
- Light the rag on fire.

I'll Fly Away Walkthrough Side Job Cyberpunk 2077
RIP Scorpion
- Head over to the hill with the burial site with Mitch. and speak to him. You can find him on the southwest side of the Aldecaldos camp.
- After talking to him, hop into his car and he'll drive you to a collapsed bridge.
- Now, just follow his orders. Take the gas canister, put it on the passenger's seat, and then light the rag on fire.
- All that's left here is to talk to Mitch to complete this job. He'll give you an action figure of Scorpion from the Mortal Kombat series, as well as an iconic knife, the Stinger.
How to unlock I'll Fly Away Side Job in Cyberpunk 2077
- After Riders on the Storm, Mitch will send you a text about Scorpion's funerals if you stick around the badlands, and a side-quest will unlock near Mobile Camp. This job is only available before completing Queen of the Highway. If you complete the mentioned side job, then this will be locked out. It is possible that if you start With a Little Help from My Friends , Mitch won't be at the location anymore as he moves in the van to start the next quest thus rendering the mission locked out too.

- This is a minor side job.
- You can put Scorpion's action figure in V's apartment on the table by the window
- (1.04) Placing Scorpion's figure in V's apartment will make Stinger disappear if it's in your inventory.Put the weapon in your storage if you want to place Scorpion's action figure.

I received both the action figure and Stinger. As I can craft epic items, I discovered there is now an epic level upgrade (crafting spec) for Stinger. I upgraded Stinger to epic, then placed the action figure with Stinger still on my regular inventory. I did keep Stinger, so perhaps you only lose it if it's the original Stinger. Great stats btw: 858dps (first attempt gave me 1400dps! But much less bonuses which I don't remember) with the bonuses being +89-108 chem, -15 stamina cost, +32 crit (wow), +45% poison, and two more slots. Geez! I'll have to try crafting different saves. The original knife is "used up" in the upgrade. When I'm able to craft Legendary items soon, I expect even better stats.

So, not sure why, but the Stinger iconic knife disappeared from my inventory when placing the Scorpion action figure in my apartment. I realized when I went to put the knife in my stash, and found it missing. Reloaded a save from five minutes earlier, and the knife was back.

For those unable to find the Scorpion action figure in your apartment. It should appear on the little table in front of the window in your apartment (in between the bed and the TV).
However, it did not appear for me until after I looted some food items that were lying on that table. So it seems if you have let your place get a bit messy it is able to stop the statue from appearing if something is in the way. It came there (with a voice line on spawn) a few seconds after looting the items on the table.

So for me, I wasn't able to start this quest once "With a Little Help From My Friends" was available to me. Fast traveling to the mobile camp started the quest "With a Little Help From My Friends." So Mitch was not on the rocks as he needed to be.
However, AFTER I completed "With a Little Help From My Friends," Mitch was back on the rocks for me to start the quest. I completed "I'll Fly Away" quickly before "Queen of the Highway" was even offered to avoid any possible issues with me completing the quest. Hope this helps someone that may believe they've missed their chance when they haven't.

Quest is bugged and wont trigger for some people. Game still broken after all these years.
