Side Jobs in Cyberpunk 2077 are Jobs and storylines apart from the main story. They can affect the main story indirectly and change the final outcome of the game. Side Jobs are also categorized into two different types, Major Side Jobs and Minor Side Jobs. The majority of the side jobs are unlocked by accepting an offer made in a phone call or if you explore a certain section of a location.

Always accept job offers unless you are certain that you do not want to get involved. Refusing a job can lead to closing off certain sequences to the rest of the playthrough or potential NPCs that you can Romance. The good thing about side jobs is that you can complete them at any given time. This page covers a full list of all the Side Jobs in Cyberpunk 2077.

Major Side Jobs

Major side jobs are tasks that feature important sequences for the protagonist and the story. There are alternatives and different outcomes that can be discovered at the end of a major side job depending on your dialogue options and actions. This can also affect V's relationship towards specified characters, such as NPCs that you can Romance.

Minor Side Jobs

Minor side jobs are tasks that can easily be completed by the player. They provide and add minor details to the lore of the game and most of them do not affect certain aspects of the game such as the story, endings, gameplay, and relationship towards NPCs. Side Jobs are designed to introduce various sides and features of Night City for the player. It is still best that you look into completing a minor side job because it can occasionally tie up loose ends towards some scenarios.

Tips to Remember

  • Whenever you are given dialogue options, you may want to be careful and think about how you answer. Even though these are just side jobs, certain actions, and dialogue answers can heavily affect certain aspects of the game. Some can lead to a string of events or worse, you may accidentally end it prematurely.
  • In Cyberpunk 2077, the game really pushes you to explore and check every single area of the game and to speak to each NPC that you meet. The game employs a "token" system to manage how missions are acquired. So the best way to unlock further assignments is to complete each job, explore, and interact with characters.

Suggestion: Sort side quests into Acts I, II, III. Put things like "Beat on the Brat: Kabuki" under "Beat on the Brat" and similarly separate out quest chains sequentially for a visual separation. Maybe good for a separate "mission flow" page?
