Meet with Maiko

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: If you refuse to help her, the entire questline that leads to a potential Romance sequence with Judy will close. So if you're playing as a feminine V and are aiming to romance Judy, then you have to help her.
  • Assuming you did say yes, head over the Megabuilding H8 in Japantown, Westbrook between 5 AM and 8 AM. Ride the elevator to the 12th floor then turn left upon exiting the elevator.
  • Go up the steps and go counterclockwise around the atrium and then head up the balcony above clouds. Speak to Judy who's waiting for you and then follow her inside to meet Maiko.
  • The conversation with Maiko will depend on how you completed the main job, Automatic Love. Specifically, how you interacted with Woodman. If it ended with Woodman being alive in the end, the conversation with Maiko will remain calm which avoids any conflict. She will also tell you where he is when you leave.
  • After the conversation with Maiko, you'll have the optional objective to confront Woodman at the maintenance level. You can convince Judy to leave it behind, but it's best that you take care of Woodman after what he did to Evelyn.
  • If you do go after Woodman, you'll end up fighting him with Judy. He's not that tough, so you can easily kill him. Also, you can attack him beforehand when you talk to him to gain an advantage. Once he's dead, leave the building and ride the elevator back down to close this job.
  • If you killed Woodman during Automatic Love, try to avoid dialogue lines that can lead to a negative approach towards Maiko. In the end, you'll just have to finish the conversation and leave the building with Judy to complete this job.
  • As for the next related quest, Talkin' 'Bout a Revolution, players will need to wait after 6-hours in-game to receive a message from Judy and then wait for another 6 hours to officially trigger the side job.

This walkthrough doesn't mention being able to pick up the Iconic power pistol Death & Taxes sitting on the couch after you finish talking with Maiko.

ok, so I went all the way to pacifica, waited 12 hours, nothing. WTF, is it actual 12 hours of gaming, do you have to do other stuff to trigger it and so you can't do it one after the other.

This quest is or seems bugged if you pick "hostile" options. Even if you left Woodman/Forest alive at the end of Automatic Love he won't appear during this quest. What is supposed to happen is that after talking with Maiko, she will inform you that Forest is at the maintenance level. However, if you pick the hostile options she will not say this. Forest will not appear at all, but when on the elevator with Judy the game will act like you just killed him on the maintenance level.

You are better off NOT picking these options if you wish to have the combat encounter with Woodman:
"Don't mind me - here to blend into the furniture."
"That all you're good at - blowin' hot air?"
          "Wouldn't rule it out."

If you pick those options your game may bug out. Do not pick them if you wish to kill Woodman.

For me Maiko was like ”I know who you are V, Judy would be off not having you here” even when i didn’t kill Woodman

If you enter a car while judy is calling you, you bug out the quest.
It will keep saying you need to talk to Judy but you cannot call her and the quest task will not give a location.
